From the Director’s Desk

This Spring, we close out another challenging year together. At the forefront of my mind is our work around labor and care. We have been having many conversations about negotiating self- and other- care in our institutional context, power relations, and labor responsibilities.

Alumni Spotlight: Milan Savoury

Milan Savoury graduated with a BS in Psychology and a BA in Women’s Studies in 2016. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and is set to graduate in August 2022 with a PhD in Counseling Psychology, with all degrees from the University of Florida. After graduating she will be a Postdoctoral Fellow at Deep Eddy Psychotherapy in Austin, TX.

Woods to support research and service that benefits the LGBTQ+ community. Chuck, as friends and colleagues knew him, was a UF alum, faculty member, and leader.

Our vision is to use the tools of gender, sexualities, and women’s studies research to produce and support scholars, leaders, and social change agents who work collaboratively and build coalitions to advance knowledge, contribute to their communities, and promote equity and opportunity for all members of our global society.
