The Department is proud to announce that Associate Professor Jillian Hernandez will lead a group of University of Florida students on an immersive learning experience on Columbia’s Caribbean coast this summer. The course, Latina Gender and Popular Culture, will examine critical issues in the Latina Community and will examine culture from famous Latina icons to everyday Columbian women. - Open to all majors
- Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Must be in good standing
Students will earn up to 7 credits. Housing, program excursions, some meals, language partners, international health insurance are included in the program fee. This summer study abroad program is administered by the UF International Center.
