UF Women’s Studies turns 40

Join us for our 40th anniversary celebration

“Center for Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Studies Research: 40 Years of Transformations”

March 17, 1:00-6:00 pm, followed by reception

The celebration events will include:

1:00-2:30: Panel on the history of Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Studies at UF, including our esteemed colleagues and pioneers Dr. Mildred Hill-Lubin, Dr. Jaquie Resnick, Dr. Connie Shehan, Dr. Angel Kwolek-Folland, Dr. Phyllis Meek, and Dr. Sandra Russo,  moderated by Dr. Judith W. Page

2:45-4:15: Panel of Center alums discussing their education at UF and in women’s studies, and sharing their inspiring personal and professional journeys after graduation

4:30-6:00: Keynote address by Dean Laura A. Rosenbury, Levin College of Law, UF on the power of women’s studies training for leadership and organizational transformation

Reception to follow. This event is free and open to the public.

Visitors to campus:

We have reserved the North Lawn from 12:30pm – 4:30pm on March 17th  for our 40th Anniversary Program attendees without a UF parking pass. You will enter the lot from Gale Lemerand Drive. There is a map attached. We will have a patroller handing out the permits to the guests as they arrive.
