OUTSIDE COURSES SUMMER 2025
In addition to courses with the WST prefix, pre-approved courses from other departments are listed below. Other courses may be considered for Women’s Studies credit via petition.
Please note that WMS and TPS minors may only count 3000- and 4000-level classes from outside the department in their degree audit. WMS and TPS minors may count one 2000-level class from our approved list of Quest offerings, WST2322, 2611, or 2612 only.
Majors may count up to 2 approved 2000-level classes towards the WMS major (email me if your audit is not recognizing the second 2000-level class
WMS majors in the general specialization may take 15 credits of any other approved coursework, following the guidelines about 2000-level courses above.
WMS majors in other specializations need 6-9 credits of approved electives from the lists below as well as other electives to total 15 credits.
There may be certain prerequisites to add courses outside the women’s studies department. Please get in touch with the undergraduate coordinator in that department to see if you can be added to the class.
