Pride Awareness Month (PAM),the largest student-run LGBTQ event series in the nation, is not only a time to showcase visible individuals of the LGBTQ community, but also a time for non-members to recognize the strides the University of Florida and the rest of the country have made to curb attitudes that border on a scale from intolerance to indifference. Pride Awareness Month facilitates the inclusion of all people, no matter their sexual orientation or sexual identity. Pride Awareness Month is a vehicle of outreach that seeks to overcome these gaps, gaps that hinder a greater inclusion of all identities.
